Skylar's Run- 5K for Clean Water event is fundraising event focused on bringing awareness that safe, clean water is a SOLVABLE problem. Through participation in a 5K (the average daily walk for water by women and children in East Africa), we learn that by GOING THEIR DISTANCE, we can begin to help CHANGE THEIR STORY.

Since 2021, with the help of many generous advocates, sponsors, and partners, REJOICE PROJECT has been able to provide over 1000 families with sustainable water filters that remove the harmful and disease-causing contaminants found in many freshwater sources in East Africa, bringing health and financial stability to families that previously had neither.

Race headliner, Skylar Gwin, and his father, Paul, will be leading the way once again at this year’s event as a testimony to the fact that EVERYONE can be part of the clean water solution, no matter their age or abilities to make an IMPACT BEYOND THE FINISH LINE.

WHY WE RUN, Walk, and Roll?

The urgent need for access to water is more critical than before. Recent years of drought continue to impede the sustainability of life. This is a solvable problem, and together we can make a difference!

We partner with community and church leaders who are committed to seeing their members have access to safe, clean water!

Across East Africa, a 5K is the average walk women and children make to collect water necessary for daily living. Unfortunately this water is often contaminated with unseen, harmful bacteria leading to illness and even death. By choosing to run, walk, roll, or carry water, you provide access to safe, clean water through sustainable water filters and hygiene training for vulnerable children and families in rural communities in Kenya.

If you GO THEIR DISTANCE, you can CHANGE THEIR STORY.
